PTAC Scholarship

The PTA Council awarded the first PTA Scholarship in 2007, through the General Fund of the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria (SFA). Beginning with the 2007-2008 school year, PTAC invites all school PTAs to join us in sponsoring the PTA Scholarship by including a budget line item for PTA Scholarship, payable to the PTA Council. Ideally, the 16 school PTAs and the PTAC will contribute a combined total of $3,750, enabling the SFA to award a $3,750 General Fund Scholarship in the name of Alexandria PTA.

School PTAs may donate funds to the PTA Council (as they are all PTAs with identical missions) and the PTA Council may donate funds to the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria as it is a 501c(3) organization that is school- and/or child-focused, serving the same population as the PTA Council.
